The Business
Bebelac, from Bebecare, is a highly popular children’s nutrition brand that provides baby formula during crucial growth stages and dietary supplements for children between the ages of six months and three years. The business currently operates in Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, UAE, and Qatar.
The business is highly successful in multiple marketplaces; however, the most notable one is its presence on Amazon.ae. With a list of carefully created and tested products for child development and nutrition, Bebelac has become synonymous with Bebecare and is often used interchangeably.
However, Bebelac’s journey to thousands of product listings and sales through online channels didn’t start on an easy note. Like any other promising venture, it underwent challenges, and that’s when our team at Digital Champ came to its aid.
The Challenges
Bebecare’s market spanned many geographies but hadn’t refined its online sales front. This resulted in less engagement and increased operational costs. Upon contacting the brand, we discovered the following anomalies:

Zero presence on Amazon: The biggest challenge for the Bebelac product lineup was a lack of presence on the biggest marketplace of all, Amazon. Despite having an official website, the brand had trouble selling its products through a reliable channel.

Lack of a storefront: Although the brand had its independent storefront on the website, it lacked an attractive storefront that could drive sales.

Lack of a marketing campaign: The business heavily relied on organic marketing campaigns; while it wasn’t a bad practice, PPC campaigning was the need of the hour.

Absence of a competitive vision: The existing marketing strategy relied heavily on conventional marketing techniques, which resulted in poorly optimized content pieces and mismanagement of deliverables.
The Solution
The aforementioned observations led us to create a systematic framework of solutions that were capable of solving the said challenges, bringing forth necessary metrics that could be improved. Here’s what Digital Champ undertook to boost Bebecare’s Bebelac brand.

Establishing a presence on Amazon: The existing business model relied on an independent presence through the official Bebecare website. However, its presence alone wasn’t enough to drive sales. Upon this realization, our team began working on establishing a strong presence on the Amazon marketplace. We began by setting up the Bebelac brand’s storefront on the marketplace and constructed pages encompassing the product lineup and information on the brand itself.

Running PPC campaigns: To mitigate the second biggest issue, we began formulating a sound PPC strategy with sponsor product ads and display ads. This way, the Bebelac brand reached out to people on Amazon and customers beyond the platform.

Budget optimization: The initial burn-through rate on marketing was quite high; it enveloped excess resources but gave limited results. Realizing the scope for improvement, our team began a budget optimization phase that considered resources and mapped the desired deliverables. The result was a well-optimized budget that gave good returns on limited investment.
